Power of Attorney ( Property Transaction, Purchaser)

This document is a template power of attorney, issued by the Buyer (or prospective Buyer) in connection to the sale and purchase of property in Cyprus, governed by Cyprus law. It is ideally suitable for foreign buyers, who may be are unable to be physically present in Cyprus (for any one or more instances where physical presence is necessary) and thus appoint a local attorney to act on their behalf. The powers vested include, inter alia,  the power to negotiate and sign the sale agreement, to stamp the sale agreement, to submit the sale agreement to the district land registry for specific enforcement, to transfer the property, to receive delivery and to do all such things necessary to that effect. It additionally includes powers to represent the grantor in an application for reduced VAT, if applicable, an application for a permit to own property as an alien, where applicable and an application for a permanent residence permit, if applicable.
